The origins of Covid-19: Lab-Leak or capitalist ecological crisis?
In the past month, the capitalist media in the US have shifted decisively in their reporting around the origins of COVID-19. This comes as President Biden has ordered a 90-day review by the US intelligence agencies of the likelihood that the virus originated in a lab in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
New phase of Covid crisis: Reject false choice between ‘health’ and ‘wealth’
One year on: Why are we still waiting for abortion access?

The Battle of Cable Street: Lessons for combatting the far right
84 years ago today, on 4th October 1936, Communists and socialists came together with Jewish and Irish workers in an historic stand to stop Oswald Mosley and several thousand of his fascist Blackshirts from marching through the East End of London. Socialists recognise the seriousness of this pandemic and support all necessary measures to protect public health, but the cost must not fall on the shoulders of workers.
Rebuild our health service – invest, democratise, kick out the profiteers!
An enormous expansion of health service facilities, resources and staff would be required to ensure a high quality of care and safety continues as we work and live with Covid-19.
Covid-19 lays bare injustices of global capitalism
The cornavirus crisis has highlighted class division worldwide, from heightened police repression, to attacks on public services. Here are some examples:
Essential, not ‘unskilled’: Retail workers must organise against profit-hungry bosses
During the Covid-19 crisis, essential workers are on the frontline in many different sectors. NHS staff, transport workers, retail staff and many more are all playing a vital role in keeping society running, yet are being treated with utter contempt by the Tories and capitalist governments the world over.
